Blob Seal Plush Pillow

The blob seal is a very simple idea executed well: a rounded, chubby body, stubby flippers and a face that is either delighted or deeply unimpressed. It works as a cushion on a bed or a sofa, as a novelty pillow on a gaming chair, or simply as something soft to hold while watching something. The shape holds up whether it is squashed flat or propped in a corner.

Three sizes cover most uses. The twenty centimetre version is a desk companion or a small gift, thirty centimetres sits comfortably as a cushion, and the eighty centimetre version is large enough to be a proper body pillow. Cotton filling gives it a slow, soft compression rather than a springy bounce, and the cover is smooth and skin friendly rather than scratchy against a face or arm.

Pick angry or happy in any size, or buy both and let them argue on the sofa. Spot clean the cover to keep the face crisp. As with any soft toy, this is a cuddle and cushion item rather than sleep equipment: keep plush toys out of cribs and sleeping spaces for babies, and supervise young children while they play with it. Give the cover a shake to redistribute the filling after heavy use.
